IBC LEGAL'S 5th ANNUAL REACH: LEGAL IMPLICATIONS &SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGIES 2015 / 23 -24 JUNE 2015

REACH 2018 registrations are likely to pose new challenges for the industry. The deadline applies to substances produced in the EU or imported into the EU below 100 tpa per manufacturer or importer. It is expected that a greater number of substances are expected to require testing for the deadline than in 2010 and 2013. As these substances are less widely used, it is likely that there will be less data available to fulfil REACH requirements. Now is time to start preparing for the registrations.

From June 2015, the new regulation on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) will apply to all substances and mixtures.

On the top of these critical subjects also there are new regulations which has a possible impact on the Chemical Industry for the nearby markets such as Turkey. Turkish implementation of EU REACH named as KKDIK is another subject covered in the agenda which will be presented by Melih Babayigit within the panel discussions.
