MINISTRY OF HEALTH HAS PUBLISHED A DRAFT COMMUNIQUE ON TREATED ARTICLE
Content addition date : 01-09-2015
As well-known Turkey has implemented the BPD as of 2009. However, as that Regulation does not contain any definition or details how the treated articles should be regulated, Ministry Of Health is planning publishing a Communique on the provisions for placing the treated articles on the market. With this purpose a draft Communique had been published by the Ministry Of Health and been circulated with stakeholders and industry associations.
According to that Communique Treated Article is defined as “any substance, mixture or article which has been treated with, or intentionally incorporates, one or more biocidal products” and manufacturers, importers or others who place treated articles on the Turkish market are obliged to make the notifications of these articles to Ministry of Health. This draft Communique also has some labelling provisions that will apply to treated articles.
It should be noted that the biocidal products which are used in the treatment of the treated articles, must already be registered or notified depending on the PT so that the treated articles can get approval for their own treated article notification.
Depending on the dates given on the draft Communique it is planned to be published 4th Q of 2015 and enforced as of September 2016.
CRAD will be providing the services regarding the notification of treated articles to the global Biocidal industry. Please contact us for our compliance solutions.
