Who can Prepare Turkish SDS?

Safety data sheets shall be compiled by a person certified by the certification agency. Importers shall ensure that the safety data sheets of the imported substances and mixtures shall be compiled by the people with the same qualifications.

Who meets the specified criteria below, can sit the proficiency exam for certification. 

a) Having a Bachelor degree from fields related to chemistry, biology or environmental sciences of Faculty of Science/Science and Literature or Faculty of Engineering,

b) Having master or doctoral degree in the field of chemistry science. 

c) Having a Bachelor degree from other departments of the universities and working at least 5 years on manufacture, laboratory, quality control or chemicals management related in the field of chemicals.

In section 16 of Turkish Safety Data Sheet, contact details of the Certified Safety Data Sheet Compiler, date and number of the certificate date should be included. 

The safety data sheet of substances or mixtures placed on the market the market, shall be uploaded to the specific IT tool which is designed for the safety data sheet and provided on the website of Ministry, by the suppliers.
