What is UFI?
UFI stands for "Unique Formula Identifier" and is a code that must be included on the labels of hazardous mixtures.
The Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) establishes a link between a compound with a physical and/or health hazard and the information available to Poisons Centres about that compound in order to recommend clinically appropriate medical treatment.
It is aimed to easily access the necessary first aid data during emergency response. It is a sectoral obligation for UFI codes to be visible on the labels of mixtures classified as physically and/or harmful to health.
