What is the Definition of articles within the Scope of KKDIK Regulation and should the Substances in Articles be Registered within the Scope of KKDIK Regulation?
In Article 4(j) of the KKDIK Regulation, the definition of "article" is made as follows: It is an object that is given a special shape, surface and design during manufacture to determine its function rather than its chemical structure.
The manufacturer or importer of the articles applies to the ministry for registration for any substance in the articles through the Chemical Registration System on the ministry's website, if both of the following conditions are valid:
• The amount of the substance in the goods is more than one ton per year per manufacturer or importer,
• The substance is designed to be released under normal or foreseeable use conditions.
