What is an Exposure Scenario?

An Exposure Scenario (ES-Exposure Scenario) describes in detail the precautions that must be taken during the use and disposal of a chemical in order to handle it safely and protect human health and the environment from harmful effects that may be caused by exposure to specific areas of use of the substance.

While preparing the Exposure Scenario, it is prepared according to the results of a risk assessment based on DNEL and PNEC values, taking into account many parameters such as where the substance is used, how it is used, who uses it (industrial workers, professional workers, end consumers), and in what quantities.
