What is Turkish KKDIK?

KKDİK is the initials of Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals and is the short name of the regulation. It is equivalent to the REACH regulation, which has been implemented in the EU region since 2006.

KKDİK (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) Regulation was published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on 23 June 2017.

The purpose of this regulation is; to regulate administrative and technical procedures and principles regarding the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals in order to ensure high level protection of human health and the environment, to encourage alternative methods for assessing the harms of substances, and to increase competition and innovation.
